The Sistine Barn
The Barn is almost 4300 square feet in size with redwood panels lining the 100-foot long, inside walls that we were commissioned to paint with scenes of 50's and 60's Americana.
Our task was to cover 1,200 square feet of wall-surface with scenes of 50’s and 60’s Americana, with an emphasis on classic cars and racing. Doors and windows that intersperse the panels had to be accounted for in the natural flow of the imagery.
666 tons of concrete, 32 tons of structural steel, and 13,400 feet of redwood panels were used in the construction of The Barn. It was built to house a private, classic car collection for the owner and collector.
